In
order to generate additional funds needed to defray travel
cost and other miscellaneous expenditures, team Kika Mana
held several car washes throughout last year at the Waialae
Chevron gas station. Through this experience, students as
well as the adults learned the value of hard work. Addition
fundraisers included, the of selling of homemade Christmas
gift bags, designed and created by the team members. In March,
Showcases Etc. offered to our team a generous fundraising
opportunity, where students sorted literally thousands and
thousands of hangers into boxes to be distributed to local
companies.
